Did everyone get a lot for Christmas?

Is JOHN WATERS coming to a city near you? Here’s a handy calendar to help you keep track of him in the coming months. He’ll be appearing in each of these places in one form or another. To find out the venue, I’d suggest using the google machine to search “John Waters” and then the city and date!
PS: Sorry I spelled Poughkeepsie wrong in the image. I can never have nice things.
PSS: I know, I know…I’m mad too. He’s not coming to a city near me either.
So I nervously met Traci Lords yesterday and gave her the photo of me posing like Wanda from John Waters’ Cry-Baby. Thankfully, she loved it AND tweeted it! She’s my kind of gal! If you haven’t heard it yet, check out her hot new track, ‘LAST DRAG’!
Everyone’s favorite neighbor (Mink Stole as Dottie Hinkle) lived at 618 Lake Drive, Towson, MD in John Waters’ Serial Mom! Of course, Beverly Sutphin would like us all to think she really lived at 4215 Pussy Way. You also get a peak at 620 Lake Drive just as Beverly Sutphin is about to drive by. “Cocksucker, that’s what she calls me!”
The original Tracy Turnblad wrote a book! Ricki Lake’s Never Say Never: Finding a Life That Fits hits shelves today! It includes a foreword by John Waters and pictures of Ricki Lake with Divine that I’ve never seen before!
In other Divine news, I’ve been slacking with this Tumblr lately because I’ve been working on another Divine project that it sure to be a smash! (Details to hopefully come soon) Plus, my regular job has been hectic so it’s been much easier to post on on the Trashy Travels facebook page. So, please, join me there! Or, in the words of Poltergeist’s Tangina, “Cross over children, all are welcome, all welcome!”
And finally, be sure to check out my Trashy John Waters related t-shirts designed by me!

The Governor’s Mansion from John Waters’ HAIRSPRAY is located at 514 E. Seminary Ave., Towson, MD 21286!
Thanks to Robert Maier (author of Low Budget Hell Making Underground Movies with John Waters) for helping with this one!
1983’s The House on Sorority Row was filmed in a suburb of Baltimore using the talents of John Waters Dreamlanders Vince Peranio and Robert Maier. Even Pecker’s Memama (Jean Schertler, FULL OF GRACE!) had a bit part as a nurse!
The 1912 Colonial country mansion (aka Eltonhead) where filming took place was rumored to have been torn down. But after 30 years it’s only been converted into 4 townhomes & completely surrounded by new roads and homes. Just to be sure I found the right location, I’ve supplied an old aerial photo that shows where the famous swimming pool used to be!
A brand new 2-disc dvd was just released and you can even read about the day John Waters showed up on the set in Robert Maier’s Low Budget Hell: Making Underground Movies with John Waters
And, as luck would have it, the main part of the house (1 of the 4 townhomes) was for sale recently and you can see a picture of the staircase looking exactly like it did in the movie.
And finally, here’s where it is:
26 Bellchase Court, Pikesville, MD 21208*
- This is a newer address given to the house after the surrounding development began. The mansion used to have a long, winding driveway that led to Park Heights Avenue.
When the Infant of Prague appears to Lady Divine in John Waters’ Multiple Maniacs, he leads her to the Bank Street entrance of the St Michael & St Patrick Catholic Church at 319 South Broadway, Baltimore, MD 21231!

Did everyone get their cha-cha heels for Christmas? Located at 200 E North Ave Baltimore, MD 21202, the old Polytechnic Institute was used for the school scenes in John Waters’ Female Trouble.
I do not know (yet) if the rooms where filming took place survived the changes made to this site. The gabled structures still remain but the buildings between them have gone through several incarnations. Today, it is the home of the Baltimore City Schools Headquarters!
